1. Where do you film?

We have recently relocated to North Central Florida. Our coverage area now includes all of Leon and Jefferson counties, as well as some of the surrounding areas. To find out if we cover your area, please provide us with a physical address and/or map of the general vicinity.

2. Will you travel to my area?

As of January 2023 we no longer travel beyond the North Central Florida region. However we do offer editing services, so if you’d like to send us your footage then we can create a video for you. If you have an editing project that you’d like assistance with, please contact us for a free quote.

3. How much do you charge?

The cost for our services varies depending on the subject, overall property size, and complexity of the job. Other factors that may increase price include filming indoors, advanced editing services, etc. If you would like to get a free project quote, please contact us.

4. Is your business insured?

Yes, we carry both aircraft insurance and general liability.

5. What does 'FAA Approved' mean?

Skydrone Logistics has been granted a Section 333 Exemption by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This means that the Skydrone team may commercially fly drones within the National Airspace System (NAS). Additionally, we fly under the Part 107.41 UAS rules and carry UAS Pilot Certification.

6. How high can you fly?

The current legal limit set forth by the FAA is 400 FT and this applies to all drone operators. In some cases there may be ‘no fly zones’ or other height restrictions in place that we must adhere to.

7. Can you fly near airports?

In most cases, yes, but we will need to obtain permission from the FAA prior to filming. There is no fee involved, but depending on the location and airport there may be a waiting time while they review/process the request.

8. What do you film?

Our specialty is primarily commercial real estate properties including office buildings, warehouse/distribution centers, land, retail and mixed-use properties. We also enjoy filming lighthouses, forts and other landmarks.

9. What do you not film?

We don’t film people or any type of event such as a wedding, concert, sporting competition, etc.

10. What is your process like?

There are essentially 6 steps involved, which are outlined here

11. How long does filming take?

This really depends on the size of the property but the average time to film one building (exterior) is approximately 2-3 hours.

12. Do I need to be present?

You are welcome to be there for filming but it is not necessary, just as long as we have permission to be on site. If there are any special instructions (i.e. gate access codes, lockbox combos, off limit areas, etc.) please let us know at the time of scheduling.

13. What if the weather is bad?

Although we always try to schedule around a favorable forecast, that can be a bit of a challenge here in Florida. Therefore if we are unable to operate due to poor conditions (rain, heavy wind, etc.) we will contact you to reschedule filming.

14. Can I do my own editing?

We are a full-service production company which means we conduct all of the filming and video editing. At this time we do not provide unedited footage to be used in other productions.

15. Will you edit my footage for me?

Yes we do offer editing services, so if you’d like to send us your footage then we can create a video for you. If you have an editing project that you’d like assistance with, please contact us for a free quote.

16. Can I select the music for my video?

Yes, and we can provide you with a few sources that you may choose from. Otherwise, we will choose the music for you based on our creative expertise. Keep in mind that any music added must have the proper usage rights. For example: if you want to use a song from a well-known artist, you will need to obtain a special license.

17. How soon will I get my files?

The average time for delivery is about 1-3 business days for photos. The video ‘draft’ is usually ready in about 5-7 business days at which time you will have an opportunity to review and request any changes.

18. What if I need a fast delivery?

Subject to availability, we do offer rush deliveries of 24 hours for photos and 48 hours for video. Please inform us at the time of initial contact if you need a rush delivery and we will make every effort to accommodate. Note: additional fees apply on all rush deliveries.

19. How will the files be delivered?

All files are delivered electronically via a download link. Photos are JPEG format and videos files will be in MP4 (which will be a complete video production that is ready-to-share on YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)

20. How can I share my video?

Once you have downloaded the file from us, you may then upload it onto YouTube, Vimeo, etc. Most platforms offer a multitude of sharing options including embedding or linking to the video.
